Tax exports
Country rules
Lot matching, currency, and classification are not preferences. Set them once for where you file, and every export follows.
Two holders with identical wallets owe different amounts in different countries. The rules below decide the figure, so Accuren asks you to set them explicitly rather than guessing from an IP address.
#Lot matching
| Method | Consumes | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
fifo | Oldest lot first | The default in most jurisdictions |
lifo | Newest lot first | Where explicitly permitted |
average | Pooled average cost | Much of Europe and the UK |
spec_id | The lot you identify | Where you can and do identify lots |
Changing the method changes the past
It restates every disposal in the year. Accuren keeps prior exports immutable and shows a diff, so you can see exactly what moved before you file an amendment.
#The full setting

"jurisdiction": "ID",
"reportingCurrency": "IDR",
"rateSource": "central_bank",
"lotMatching": "fifo",
"classify": "debt_security",
"taxYear": { "starts": "01-01", "ends": "12-31" }
}taxYear matters more than it looks: an April-to-April year splits a position's history differently, and a disposal that falls either side of the boundary can land in a different band.
#What Accuren will not do
- Decide your classification for you — it applies the one you set.
- File anything, anywhere.
- Claim a treatment is correct in your jurisdiction. It shows the rule it used and the figures it produced.
Ask an adviser once, early
One conversation about classification and lot matching before your first disposal is worth more than any amount of tooling afterwards.
